Customer Questions & Answers
Q Can WoodEpox be used to fill excessively worn spots up to 1/8th inch deep on a wood floor? Is there any way to match wood floor colors? What is the best way to apply to the floor? Is sanding the only way to level the product with the floor? Will the product feather into surrounding wood?Answered by the admin
You can use WoodEpox to fill voids within the boards. You can color it with a dry powder pigment. It can be applied with a putty knife and is sand-able.
Q I am repairing a wood storm window. The part I am repairing measures 4 inches by 76 inches and is 1 inch thick. I believe that is 304 cubic inches. It seems that the suggested amount of the liquid wood you need (2 Gal) does not make sense. It seems like 2 quarts would be enough. Am I figuring cubic inches correctly?Answered by the admin
It is hard to say how much LiquidWood you will need as we don't know the extent of the rot and don't know how much product will absorb into the rotted wood. An estimated coverage for the 2 quarts is 116 cubic inches, 2 gallons is 462 cubic inches.
Q I have pressboard smooth siding on my home and some areas that need repaired because of new windows being installed and shutters being removed. Will this work on pressboard?Answered by the admin
Q How much do I need to order?Answered by the admin
2 pints covers 58 cubic inches, 2 quarts covers 116 cubic inches, 2 gallons covers 462 cubic inches.
Q I bought a kit to use on a window that has some rot in it. My question is whether you should wait for the Liquidwood to dry before applying the Woodepox, or is it better to apply the Liquidwood and immediately apply the Woodepox? ThanksAnswered by the admin
Once the LiquidWood feels tacky or sticky to the touch you can apply the WoodEpox over the top.
