Uses: Build up this flexible polyurethane mold-making paste in one application to replicate intricately detailed architectural elements. Use on both vertical and overhead surfaces. Designed for making molds of elements that cannot be removed from the structure, as well as molds with severe undercuts, including: busts, statues, finials, reliefs, and furniture parts where a one part mold is desirable. Other typical used include reproducing capitals, ceiling medallions, corbels, moldings, figurines, and other three dimensional objects. Molds are reusable.
Features and Benefits: MasterMold 12-3 is easily spread on the model to produce a smooth, bubble-free mold surface that captures the finest details. The molds are ready to use in less than one day. Its elasticity, softness, and high strength permit easy peeling from intricate shapes. Support molds for supporting the flexible mold while casting, can be made with plaster, WoodEpox, or resin/fiberglass techniques. Release agent is necessary for both the model and when casting the mold in most instances. Release agent is not necessary for water-based casting materials.
Technical Characteristics: Hardens in 8-12 hours at room temperature. Easy proportioning of 1 part resin to 1 part hardener by volume.

Q I'm a painting contractor in Michigan's upper pennisula. I have a tin ceiling that has been damaged by water, some rusted panels. My customer would like to replicate them. Would you please provide me with the appropriate products. I can send you photos, the panel size is approximately 2x2. Thanks JonathanA Either MasterMold 12-3 or MasterMold 12-8 will be a good choice for your project. We recommend casting the panels with WoodCast light-weight epoxy casting compound.
