Abocrete™ Kit

Liquid Epoxy Compound for Patching, Resurfacing, and Rebuilding Concrete.

Uses:  Abocrete bonds, levels, fills, rebuilds, and resurfaces concrete and most rigid surfaces.  This versatile epoxy is blended with fine sand, creating a structural grout and filler that can be used for countless applications.  Repair industrial floors, docks, sidewalks, driveways, stairs, parking decks, and more.  Abocrete is perfect for fixing pitted, spalled, worn, or cracked concrete and is ideal for salt damage repairs.  It makes a great slip-resistant floor and deck coating by broadcasting sand or other aggregates over the wet Abocrete.  It eliminates tripping hazards both at home and in the workplace.  Abocrete works great for anchoring posts and railings and installing machinery, precasts, columns, and more. Use with forms to rebuild steps and vertical columns.

Features and Benefits: Abocrete creates repairs that are permanent and cost-effective.  It is easy to mix and apply.  Blend in fine sand to create a cement-like epoxy compound that self-levels and is shrink-free. Thicken the compound by adding additional sand or aggregate.  Abocrete can be applied in any thickness for a finish that is stronger than concrete!  It is unaffected by salt water, oils, and chemicals that erode concrete.  It holds up well to heavy forklift and truck traffic.

Technical Characteristics:  Mixing ratio: 4 parts A to 1 part B.  Add sand to reach desired thickness.  Coverage: 1 gallon of Abocrete, without sand or aggregate, covers 80 sq. ft., 20 mils thick. One Abocrete kit with sand covers approximately 28 sq. ft., 1/8 in. thick.  Apply with simple hand tools or with a  brush, paint roller, or squeegee.  Pot life: approximately 20-30 minutes. Hardens in 1-5 hours depending on temperature. 100% epoxy solids. Contains no water or solvents.  Colors: choose from light gray, dark gray, clear amber, beige, or brick red.  Abocrete can be painted after hardening.

Hello, Can the Abocrete be layered? I did a couple repairs on my garage apron and garage floor where the cut lines intersect. the one area I didn't fully have the cut lines sealed properly and the Abocrete settled about 1/4". Can I apply a second coat to make the patch even with the floor?

Abocrete will bond to itself. You may need to scuff the surface so the 2nd layer bonds well.

No, we do not. You can order directly from us. We ship via UPS (prepay & add to invoice). You would then be responsible for duties/taxes upon delivery.

You can try a search for 3M colored silica sand or Quartz Sand.

  6. I poured some Abocrete last Thursday afternoon on a exterior concrete slab. Today is Monday. It cured hard, but there is still a tacky film that seems to be on top of the pour, the remainder of the 1/8" -1/4" thick pour is hard as a rock, but I have this sticky film on top. What can be applied to make the top surface less tacky?

Abocrete is a self-leveling concrete restoration product, that is used on horizontal surfaces.

Excellent product. Used to repair concrete steps. Forming is critical. If form is not very tight product will seep out around form necessitating a lot of grinding. Can try to thicken material with more sand but that runs risk of rendering material hard to pour and work. Thus careful balance of material mix is crucial.

I I used this product to resurface my outside garage apron (about 2 feet wide) a year ago due to salt damage and deterioration.. It is hard as a rock and after harsh midwest winter still looks great. It blended with the rest of the concrete driveway color wise. I saved me a lot of money versus a new concrete job that was proposed b
the concrete contractor. Hopefully it will last for years. It takes a while to dry (about 24-48 hours) but it was well worth it. Using the right amount of silica sand was a tricky part so the product would not run from the surface, The apron was at the slight angle. Overall, a great product!

Actually I would rate this product at 4.5 stars. Were it not so difficult to work with, would definitely rate it at 5 stars.
I resurfaced my concrete deck some 24 years ago with Abocrete and the surface remains pristine with one exception. My first batch was too dry, and true to its warning, this leads to poor bonding. Sure enough, over the years, a small portion has debonded and I now have to break it out and repour…my bad.
Also, the other reason you do not want to mix it overly dry is the extreme difficulty of now being able to work with it. It is a fine balance and I don’t believe the literature warns adequately about this. You are better leaving it a bit runny vs. stiff. An overly stiff or dry mix will start to cook off so fast that if you can get it out of the bucket it is very difficult to trowel and spread let alone pour. Also, if using sand(highly recommended) use a mechanical mixer. You’ll be glad you did! Lesson learned.

Used on exterior, high traffic restaurant walk and, after a harsh winter, still like new. Nice! Definitely trying their other products for repairs.
